Dry January 1st-31st January "Dry January challenges to go alcohol free for 31 days and aims to raise awareness of the effects of alcohol"   
Take the Stairs Day 9th January Fitting physical activity into a busy lifestyle can be a challenge. Taking the stairs is a simple way to add more physical activity into your day and can significantly contribute to the recommended 30 minutes of physical activity per day.
Cervical Cancer Prevention Week 21st-27th January cervical cancer is the most common cancer is women aged over 35, 75% of cervical cancers can be prevented with cervical screening (smear tests).
World Cancer Day 4th February This global event is the ideal time to raise awareness of cancer and support individuals who have been diagnosed as well organisation working to fight cancer.
Time to Talk Day 7th February Mental health charities Rethink and Mind are leading the campaign that aims to show that “It’s the little things that make a big difference” when it comes to mental health – such as having a cup of tea and a chat.
Staff Wellbeing Event - Good Hope 8th February With fun engaging activities, plenty of useful information and some freebies they are a fantastic way of learning what is available to you as a staff member to enhance your wellbeing
Random Act of Kindness Day 17th February "The positive effects of kindness are experienced in the brain of everyone who witnessed the act, improving their mood and making them significantly more likely to “pay it forward.” This means one good deed in a crowded area can create a domino effect and improve the day of dozens of people!"
Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 1st-31st March Ovarian cancer is a disease that can disrupt the normal function of the ovaries. If it's left unchecked it can affect other parts of the body too.
Prostate Cancer Awareness Month 1st-31st March 1 in 8 men in the UK will get prostate cancer, the aim is to raise awareness and invite everyone to join the fight.
Nutrition and Hydration Week 11th-17th March this global movement aims to focus on nutrition and hydration as an important part of equality care, experience and safety improvement in the health and social care settings.  Warwickshire hydration partnership posters
No Smoking Day 13th March help encourage as many smokers as possible to quit on No Smoking day by organising events and sharing information.
World Sleep Day 15th March celebrates sleep and is a call to action for important issues related to sleep including; medicine, education, social aspects and driving.

 

The next staff wellbeing event takes place on Tuesday 2nd April 10.00-2.00 at Solihull

The Staff Wellbeing events are run at Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull throughout the year. With fun engaging activities, plenty of useful information and some freebies they are a fantastic way of learning what is available to you as a staff member to enhance your wellbeing.  So far we have recieved very positive feedback from the events. So come along and see what is available and enjoy the day!  As you can see below there are a variety of reasons to pop in.   We very much welcome your feedback and suggestions which help to shape future events.   We look forward to seeing you at our next event.
